Abstract

Population growth, which boosted urban growth in the XX and XXI centuries, coupled with climate change, imposes new challenges on urban landscape planners, among these the problem of urban drainage becomes a recurring issue as natural space changes to meet the longings of modern cities. These modify and replace the natural flow dynamics with hygienist infrastructures that often can only pass on the problem. It is in this scenario that green infrastructures emerge as a means of solving the problems of urban drainage, mimetizing the processes previously present in space and bringing diverse socio-spatial gains. In this context, information modeling combined with green infrastructures emerges as an important tool for analysis and intervention in the city, better guiding urban planners, information companies and XX ENANPUR 2023 – BELÉM 23 A 26 DE MAIO experiments previously carried out in a computational environment. Thus, the aim of this article is to demonstrate the experiments developed from the modeling of information applied to the landscape in the Mata-Fome Basin in the city of Belém do Pará in order to guide a modification in the context observed through the use of green infrastructures with the bias of the best practices of urban water management.
